Overview
Founded in 1981, Texas Culinary Academy offers students interested in professional culinary careers the opportunity to develop cooking and baking skills in practical labs as well as through classroom training from experienced professionals. Students can graduate with either an Associate Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts or Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality and Restaurant Management or a Certificate in Le Cordon Bleu Pâtisserie and Baking. Campus is conveniently located in Austin, Texas.
Student Appeal
Students can learn fundamental culinary techniques in classroom lectures and apply the acquired knowledge in well-equipped modern kitchen labs. Students are encouraged to develop individual style and creativity while achieving mastery of a culinary specialization. Faculty and staff are able to provide first-hand information about industry trends and practices to help guide students on the best career path. A host of student services are offered to round out the educational experience, including campus events, cooking competitions, student government, and a student-run café and restaurant. Admissions representatives are available to help students plan living arrangements while attending Texas Culinary Academy. Career assistance is available to help students find externship opportunities and careers upon graduation.
Financial
Financial aid is available for qualified students and can be accessed through the Financial Aid Office. Aid includes federal grants, loans, and work study along with private award resources. Texas Culinary Academy is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
