Abilene Christian University

Overview
Since 1906, Abilene Christian University has provided a four-year private education to students desiring a Christian-based focus. The school and its instructors offer a curriculum that revolves around theological perspectives and core values. Students have a variety of undergraduate majors to choose from, including healthcare, business, human services, criminal justice, and education. Online education allows busy working adults to take advantage of an ACU education.

Student Appeal
A wide range of options and a faith-based education draws many students to the Abilene Christian. Instructors teach students how to think critically and globally in each of their respective programs, while still maintaining a focus on their particular program of study. While the curriculum is faith-based, it has universal applications that students find useful when entering the competitive workforce. The school also offers a career department to help students find internships or jobs after graduation. The career services department encourages alumni to share their job experiences with current students as tangible success examples and advice.

Financial
Students wishing to attend ACU have access to a variety of financial aid benefits to help them pay for tuition. Grants, scholarships, and loans are available to qualified students. Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first step to getting aid. To help students and parents understand their options, the school also provides a series of seminars related to financial aid. The staff is also helpful in answering any questions.
